LinMot Pilot

New features, new applications and even more flexibility

LinMot Pilot app on an iPad

Since the product launch of the LinMot Pilot in December 2025 The platform has been continuously developed. Initial customers are already successfully using the LinMot Pilot in a wide variety of applications – from test benches and assembly lines to pick-and-place systems.

The experience gained from these projects, as well as direct feedback from our customers, has been incorporated into the further development of the platform. The result is new features, simplified operation, and additional applications that further expand the range of applications for the LinMot Pilot.

What is LinMot Pilot?

LinMot Pilot is a user-friendly, web-based platform for configuring and controlling multi-axis LinMot systems – entirely without PLCs or in-depth programming knowledge. Instead of complex code, LinMot Pilot relies on configurable commands and intuitive widgets. This allows even complex processes such as screwing, belt synchronization, or pick-and-place with camera integration to be implemented safely and efficiently.

Improved usability

The descriptions of all existing commands and settings have been improved and supplemented with graphics. This ensures users receive the relevant information precisely where they need it. This reduces the effort required for commissioning, simplifies the understanding of individual functions, and makes working with the LinMot Pilot even more intuitive.

Easier updates with the TM Manager

The new TM Manager provides a tool that significantly simplifies the updating of the LinMot Pilot. Firmware and software updates can be downloaded via web server and transferred to the technology module. This allows systems to be updated faster and managed more easily.

Advanced Kinematics Wizard

The kinematics configuration has been expanded and now supports additional kinematic configurations. This offers greater flexibility in selecting and parameterizing different axis combinations. As a result, new machine concepts can be implemented more easily and existing applications can be configured more quickly.

Multitasking for even more possibilities

The new multitasking function allows multiple programs to run simultaneously. This makes it possible, for example, to operate monitoring functions and motion sequences in parallel. This opens up additional possibilities for more complex automation tasks and increases flexibility in application implementation.

Conveyor Tracking from LinMot

The basic version at a glance

Even the basic version of the LinMot Pilot contains all the essential functions to operate a complete LinMot system. These include, among other things:

  • Single-axis movements with linear and rotational axes
  • Robotics functions for coordinated movements
  • Program control and process control
  • Time functions and wait commands
  • Digital and analog inputs and outputs
  • Variable management
  • User management with different access rights
  • Customizable dashboards
  • Support for LinMot grippers

The modular design also makes it possible to add additional applications at any time as needed.

New application: Capping

The new Capping application enables no-code configuration of complete closure processes. Torque-controlled tightening with predefined profiles, automatic thread position and thread entry detection can be configured via a setup wizard, without writing a single line of code.

In practice, the application is suitable for, among other things:

  • Closing bottles and vials
  • Cosmetics and body care products
  • Food and beverage closures

New application: Conveyor Tracking

The new Conveyor Tracking application enables the synchronization of robot movements with a moving conveyor belt. This allows handling tasks to be performed on moving products without interrupting the material flow. This supports higher throughputs and reduces unnecessary downtime in the system for applications such as:

  • Continuous packaging or labeling tasks
  • Cutting or sorting on the fly
  • Synchronized pick-and-place or assembly applications
Roadmap for LinMot Pilot

Already in preparation

The further development of the LinMot Pilot continues.

Planned expansions include, among other things:

  • Data recording for recording motion, force, and process data
  • Process monitoring for monitoring and evaluating process parameters
  • Additional communication and integration options
  • Further specialized applications for specific automation tasks

Thanks to its modular design, the functionality of the LinMot Pilot can be continuously expanded.
